ZN-410 2K Acrylic Primer Hardener is an aliphatic isocyanate-based curing component developed for Zenova's two-component acrylic primer range. It is formulated to be fully compatible with ZN-210 4+1 Acrylic Primer Filler, ZN-220 5+1 HS Acrylic Primer and ZN-250 Joker Multi-Purpose Primer. By reacting chemically with the primer resin, it turns the liquid primer into a durable, sandable, solid layer that is ready to be painted over.
Its fast reaction profile makes the primer sandable in a short time, reducing repair times. Complete curing minimises both sinkage of the primer over time and sanding marks showing through in the topcoat. The fully hardened primer sands easily and evenly without clogging the abrasive paper, which means cleaner, more controlled surface preparation for both dry and wet sanding.
ZN-410 is used at the ratio specified in the technical data of the primer it is combined with: 4 : 1 for ZN-210 and ZN-250, and 5 : 1 for ZN-220 (by volume). The mix is then brought to application viscosity with ZN-510 Acrylic Thinner at the ratio specified for the primer. Increasing the proportion of hardener does not speed up curing; on the contrary, it impairs the film properties, so it is important to use a graduated mixing cup or scales.
Values are typical at 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. Please review the product's current Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before application.

The recommended application sequence for a professional result.
Check the mixing ratio of the primer you are using: 4 : 1 for ZN-210 and ZN-250, 5 : 1 for ZN-220 (by volume). The ratios are based on the resin structure of each primer and must not be changed.
After stirring the primer thoroughly in its tin, add the correct amount of ZN-410 using a graduated mixing cup or scales; never measure by eye.
Stir until the mixture is uniform; if necessary, bring it to the application viscosity specified in the primer's technical data with ZN-510 Acrylic Thinner.
Use the prepared mixture within its pot life. Do not pour leftover mixture back into the original container or store it in a closed container.
After use, wipe the rim of the tin and close the lid tightly straight away. Contact with moisture causes the hardener to turn cloudy and gel.
Zenova products tested in the same system as this product, which give the best results together with it.

High-build 2K acrylic primer filler: covers filled areas, does not sag, sands easily and creates a smooth, isolating base for the topcoat.
Premium 2K HS acrylic primer that delivers high film build even in a single coat. Fills micro-pores, flows out perfectly and dries fast.
Hybrid 2K primer for use wet-on-wet or as a sandable primer filler. Adheres to aluminium, galvanised steel, factory coatings and existing paintwork.

Balanced-evaporation thinner that brings 2K acrylic paints, clear coats and primers to ideal spray viscosity; reduces orange peel and ensures even flow.
