Zenova ZN-610 Anti-Gravel Stone Chip Protector packaging

Anti-gravel stone chip protection for the underbody and lower body areas, and a paint stripper that requires no mechanical abrasion.

A professional paint job is about more than paint and clear coat alone. Underbody protection, stripping old layers and protecting specific areas are complementary steps that determine the durability and quality of the work.

Zenova auxiliary products have been developed for these steps: ZN-610 Anti-Gravel Stone Chip Protector protects the underbody, wheel arches and sills against stone chips, road salt and corrosion, while also contributing to sound insulation. ZN-620 Paint Stripper lifts old layers of paint, primer and filler without the need for sanding or blasting, saving considerable time on restoration work.

  • Impact protection

An elastic barrier against stone impacts and road salt.

  • Sound insulation

Reduces vibration and noise in underbody applications.

  • Fast stripping

Removes old layers without mechanical abrasion.

  • Paintable surface

Once cured, the anti-gravel coating can be overcoated with paint systems.

Chemistry and technology

The chemistry of protection and preparation

Anti-gravel stone chip protector is an elastic coating based on synthetic resin and rubber. Paint stripper, on the other hand, uses a powerful solvent blend to swell old paint layers and detach them from the metal surface.

Do not use paint stripper on plastic or composite parts; wear chemical-resistant gloves and safety glasses. Environment, health and regulatory guide

  • Elastic protection

The rubber-based film absorbs the energy of stone impacts; once fully cured, it can be painted with a 2K paint system.

  • Texture control

The pressure of the underbody coating gun and the application distance make it possible to achieve a fine or coarse texture that matches the original appearance.

  • Chemical stripping

Paint stripper lifts the layers without sanding or blasting; the profile of the metal surface is preserved and labour is reduced.

  • A clean start

Do not move on to the filler or primer stage until any residues left after stripping have been removed with ZN-530 Surface Cleaning Thinner.

Frequently asked

Questions about Auxiliary Products

Answers to the most frequently asked questions about this product group.

Can anti-gravel stone chip coating be painted over?

Yes. Once fully cured, it can be painted with acrylic and basecoat paint systems. The waiting time depends on the layer thickness and the ambient temperature.

Can paint stripper be used on plastic parts?

No. Paint stripper is formulated for metal surfaces and can damage plastic and composite parts. On aluminium surfaces, a test should first be carried out on a small area.

How should the surface be prepared after using paint stripper?

Once the lifted layers have been removed with a scraper, all residues must be cleaned off completely, the surface degreased with ZN-530 and primed within a short time.
