ZN-250 Joker Multi-Purpose Primer is a hybrid, two-component acrylic primer that offers two different working methods in a single product. Thinned more, it works as a wet-on-wet primer that needs no sanding; thinned less, it works as a sandable primer filler. This flexibility reduces the need to stock separate primers for different jobs in the workshop and makes it possible to build the right system for every repair from the same product.
It provides strong adhesion to aluminium, galvanised steel, factory (OEM) coatings and existing paintwork, reducing the need for an additional adhesion primer on repairs involving mixed substrates. In wet-on-wet mode, basecoat can be applied directly after a flash-off of approximately 15–20 min at 20 °C. In sanding mode, its filling capacity covers filler edges and minor imperfections, creating an even surface that is easy to sand.
ZN-250 is mixed 4 : 1 by volume with ZN-410 2K Acrylic Primer Hardener and thinned with ZN-510 Acrylic Thinner: 10% for the sanding system and 25–30% for the wet-on-wet system. Wet-on-wet is the preferred mode for new and factory-primed replacement parts, and sanding mode for surfaces repaired with ZN-110 Universal Polyester Filler or ZN-170 Galva Filler. On plastic parts, ZN-240 1K Plastic Primer is applied first.
Values are typical at 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. Please review the product's current Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before application.

The recommended application sequence for a professional result.
Scuff the factory primer on new parts and existing paintwork with P400 or a grey scuff pad; prepare filled areas with P180–P240. Key aluminium and galvanised surfaces with P240–P320 and clean them with ZN-530 Surface Cleaning Thinner.
Choose the sanding system for filled surfaces and those that need correcting; choose the wet-on-wet system for flawless new parts and sound factory coatings.
Mix the primer 4 : 1 by volume with ZN-410 2K Acrylic Primer Hardener. Add 10% ZN-510 Acrylic Thinner for the sanding system or 25–30% for the wet-on-wet system.
For the sanding system, apply 2–3 coats with a 1.7–1.9 mm nozzle, allowing 5–10 min between coats; for the wet-on-wet system, apply a single closed, even coat with a 1.3–1.5 mm nozzle. Set the HVLP inlet pressure to approximately 2.0 bar.
After a 15–20 min flash-off at 20 °C, apply basecoat without sanding. If the maximum overcoating time stated in the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) is exceeded, the primer must be dried and sanded.
Dry for 3–4 h at 20 °C or for 30–40 min at a part temperature of 60 °C. Apply a dry guide coat and sand dry with P400–P500.
Clean the surface and wipe it with a tack cloth, then continue with the basecoat and clear coat system.
